The Coalition Theater is thrilled to present its 7th Annual 2ND BEST FEST, running June 6-8, featuring improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy acts from all over the US, crammed into 3 magical nights at 2 different venues!
The last day of the fest is the most insane with a triple whammy of improv from Chicago's New Money A$$clowns, Richmond's own Fan Friction, and a crazy combo of Richmond's Horse Apples and Chicago's Angel Bones brings you A Real Bag of Horse Bones!

The Princeton New Money A$$clowns are an improv team based out of CIC Theater in Chicago. In their shows they take an interesting name from your life then build a detailed world and characters that revolve around them. It's usually very weird and very fun.

Fan Friction is a fan fiction mash up show that takes your favorite movies, TV, books, and games and smashes them together into a hilarious abomination. Past favorites have included Stewart Little X Fight Club, Love is Blind X Fear Factor, and Blue's Clues X Five Nights at Freddy's. Come see the show our fans have called "stupid" and "I'm really surprised you made that work!"

A Real Bag of Horse Bones is a one-time only combo of two veteran improv teams, whose requests to combine have been forbidden by the Gods for years but the Gods have finally relented as there is a comedy festival happening and they're also just tired of saying no.

Located in Richmond's Downtown Arts District, the mission of the nonprofit Coalition Theater is to build an inclusive space where laughter connects people. Proceeds from 2ND BEST FEST help further this mission, supporting performances, comedic education, and community outreach.
