The Coalition Theater's 2nd Best Comedy Fest goes big on Saturday, presenting acts from LA, San Francisco, NYC, DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and RVA.
Playing in the 6:30pm block at the Coalition Theater at are Here & Queer, Sounds Good To Me, Goodison, and the Hearst Girls.
HERE & QUEER (NYC) is a monthly fan favorite at the legendary Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. An all-LGBTQ cast of performers invites a special LGBTQ storyteller to do monologues, and then the cast does a long-form improv show based on those stories. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME (Richmond, VA) is Richmond's home grown improvised, long form musical! Come lose your innocence with us on a hero's journey of hilarious proportions, with never-before heard songs based on your suggestions. Featuring lonely hearts, clever ingenues, big time villains, and more! Ben Hay, Wendy Repass, Ian Johnson, Bob Nickles, and Betzi Hekman.
GOODISON (Washington, DC) A completely brand-new, never-before-seen movie improvised entirely by just two people. @goodisonimprov. Kristina Martinez and Nei Baron.
HEARST GIRLS (Richmond, VA) is an all-female improv team winning hearts and minds with captivating characters and compelling narratives told through a monoscene dramedy. @hearstgirls. Kiersten Hoffman, Casey Neeley, and Amber Hendrix.

This show is presented as part of the 5th Annual 2nd Best Comedy Fest, produced by the Coalition Theater. Between June 6-8th, 2nd Best brings a lineup of 100+ comedians from all over the country presenting improv, sketch, stand-up, & alternative comedy and podcasts to downtown RVA.
The Coalition is a nonprofit theater in Richmond's Arts District with the mission of making comedy shows & training accessible to all. Proceeds from 2nd Best Comedy Fest benefit the Coalition's mission.
