The Coalition Theater's 2nd Best Comedy Fest goes big on Saturday, presenting acts from LA, San Francisco, NYC, DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and RVA.
Playing in the 6:30pm block at TheatreLAB's Basement Theater are Past Our Prime Time Players, Detective, Colossus, and Made-Up Movie.
PAST OUR PRIME TIME PLAYERS (San Franscisco, CA) is an improv comedy ensemble featuring three improvisors of a certain age, all veterans of the improv and dramatic stage in the San Francisco Bay Area. Diana Brown, Christopher DeJong, and Dan Wilson.
DETECTIVE (Richmond, VA)
Have you seen Law & Order? Cold Case Files?? Well this ain’t it! Detective consists of nine loose cannons who don’t play by the rules. Led by the baddest boss on either side of the Mississippi, Detective hopes to leave you laughing, weeping, and reaching out to estranged family members hoping to reconnect.
COLOSSUS (Washington, DC)
Colossus (Swedish pronunciation: [²cöl-ah-sûz]) is a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Bam Alston, Reaves McElveen, Zach Mason, Donna Steele, Saleh Karaman and Eva Lewis. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names.

This show is presented as part of the 5th Annual 2nd Best Comedy Fest, produced by the Coalition Theater. Between June 6-8th, 2nd Best brings a lineup of 100+ comedians from all over the country presenting improv, sketch, stand-up, & alternative comedy and podcasts to downtown RVA.
The Coalition is a nonprofit theater in Richmond's Arts District with the mission of making comedy shows & training accessible to all. Proceeds from 2nd Best Comedy Fest benefit the Coalition's mission.
