The Coalition Theater's 2nd Best Comedy Fest goes big on Saturday, presenting acts from LA, San Francisco, NYC, DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and RVA.
Playing in the 9pm block at TheatreLAB's Basement Theater are Change Machine, After School Grandma, Rodeo, and My Privacy.
CHANGE MACHINE (Pittsburgh, PA) hails from Pittsburgh and are thrilled to share their fun and high energy performance. Watch them create a world inspired by an audience suggestion and their own unique life experiences and you’ll never be the same. Beth Appanaitis, Ben Amiri, Bre Brown, Kevin Flinn, John Hancock, Nia Johnson, Sara Kantner, Chris Leone, and Ashley McKinney.
AFTER SCHOOL GRANDMA (Baltimore, MA) Is your work awful? Got any weird traditions at work? ASG will take the weird and the wonderful of your work and explain the hidden and hilarious history of your work place. We can't give you a reference, but we can join you in saying F*ck Your Work Week. Julia Hall, Jacob Joseph, Alan McCombs, Sheila McMenmanin, Maggie Phenicie, Kerri Shannon, Nate Tyson, and Harold Young.
RODEO! (Richmond, VA) Put your backpack on and buckle in, Rodeo is a team of 8 new buds looking for weirdness and beauty in the corners and under the floorboards. Founded on the virtues of trust and honesty, these improvisors bring a slew of experience and a lifetime of stories together to create new situations, growing toward a point bordering silliness and madness. Joe Freeman, Ariana Berger, Matthew Forehand, Shawn Hambright, Zach Mann, Anne Meng, Tyler Whaley, and Cale Davis
MY PRIVACY (NYC) is a couple of cheese-eating scabs from New Pork City doing high-energy, rock and roll improv. If you see any blood on either of them, IT'S REAL. My Privacy is Matt Calanese and Michael Varamogiannis.
