The Coalition Theater's 2nd Best Comedy Fest kicks off Thursday with a lineup of shows spotlighting RVA comedy acts.
Playing in the 8pm block at TheatreLAB's Basement Theater are The Quirks, Just Jackie, and Resident Ghost.
THE QUIRKS (Richmond, VA) This eccentric pair navigates life with miscommunication and confusion clinging to them like limpets. Rick Sleeman and Susan Scovill.
JUST JACKIE (Richmond, VA) They're a little bit grounded, a little bit eccentric. They're a little bit comedy, a little bit chaos. They're a little bit sitcom, a little bit drama. They're a little bit Just...a little bit Jackie. Tyler Whaley, Nathan Bemis, Drew Simmons, Cale Davis, and Rachel Marsh.
RESIDENT GHOST (Richmond, VA) Resident Ghost is a former house team from the Coalition Theater that is reuniting for an encore performance at 2nd Best Fest! Resident Ghost performs an improv format called "Close Quarters". The show takes place in a single location where each scene is close to the others, often in adjacent rooms. Previous and future scenes can be heard through the walls and the audience will get to piece together where and when everyone is. If you like the time jumping of "Westworld" and "Memento" this is the show for you. Nathan Bemis, Michael Bodine, Harrison Brooks, Tom Hall, Kiersten Hoffman, Kimberly R. Nario, Ebbie Shover, and Drew Simmons.

This show is presented as part of the 5th Annual 2nd Best Comedy Fest, produced by the Coalition Theater. Between June 6-8th, 2nd Best brings a lineup of 100+ comedians from all over the country presenting improv, sketch, stand-up, & alternative comedy and podcasts to downtown RVA.
The Coalition is a nonprofit theater in Richmond's Arts District with the mission of making comedy shows & training accessible to all. Proceeds from 2nd Best Comedy Fest benefit the Coalition's mission.
