Live from our studios in Richmond, VA, the Coalition Theater presents Lawrence Welk’s “Night of 666 Laughs”! Enjoy an evening of bubbly “chamPAIN” entertainment from a spine-tingling selection of special guest stand-ups, the devilish improv duo of Sweet, Sweet Demon Babies and the unscripted malevolent melodies of Sounds Dead To Me, all hosted by everyone’s favorite dearly departed big bandleader, Lawrence Welk!
Featuring celebrity guest appearances from Tangie the Hair Blob, Fran Drescher, the Babadook, Ann Coulter, and a special performance from The Tantilla Toms!
THE TANTILLA TOMS
Named after Richmond's long gone ballroom, The Tantilla Gardens, The Tantilla Toms is Richmond's own all-female solo jazz performance troupe. With powerful and quirky choreography based in early 20th century jazz steps, The Toms are ready to show some serious class (and probably a fair amount of sass) this Friday.
SWEET, SWEET DEMON BABIES
Do you hear that? What’s that sound?! Oh that’s just the sound of little tiny hooves coming straight out of Hell! Lauren Serpa and Josh Wright are just two cute, Lil' Devils. But wait! Maybe, they can save their souls with an improvised performance inspired by spooky tunes and soundscapes provided by No BS Brass’ Reggie Pace. Will this performance be the one that redeems their souls? We'll find out together!
SOUNDS DEAD TO ME
Songbirds of yester year rise from the grave to collaborate on a modern, one-night-only, unscripted musical production. Will undead Divas learn to share the spotlight in death as they never did in life? Or will they DESTROY EACH OTHER?!
