Katie has been a supporter of the artistic community surrounding the Coalition Theater since it began growing in 2009. She brings experience working with and for nonprofit organizations both here in Richmond and in Chicago, IL. From grant writing, to event planning, to donor management, Katie brings expertise that is valuable to Broad Street Comedy’s efforts to grow and learn how to be a healthy and flourishing nonprofit organization. Katie’s experience as a high school teacher has also been helpful in assisting with the management of the Coalition’s training center. When she isn’t working on behalf of Broad Street Comedy, Katie is focused on education policy and serving as a board member for the YWLA, an advisory board serving in conjunction with the YWCA here in RVA. She is dedicated to social justice, equity in public education, and giving back to a community that has given so much to her.
